Wake up call!

A rude awakening at 5.30 this morning when I found a tick embedded in my groin! Managed to pull it out with my tweezers, popped it into a small container – here is what it looked like after 2 hours in the freezer.

Nasty blood sucking bugger.

 What I want to know is - how did it get there, how long had it been in my bed & are there any more?  Now I'm feeling every little tickle or itch.

On a brighter note this was the sunset last evening.

No white STOP lines on the intersection of Peony & Marmion Avenue. According to the City of Wanneroo “still in the planning stage”. Coming from the new shopping centre there is a stop sign but not everyone is stopping.  Already there have been some (not bad) accidents.

Capricorn House Coffee Club

A group of residents from Yanchep/Two Rocks and surrounding areas have started a coffee morning get-together to foster friendship and companionship within the community. It is intended to have speakers on a variety of topics and to have community outings on the Yanchep/Two Rocks Community Bus.

The coffee mornings are held every Tuesday from 10am till 12noon at Capricorn Community House, Lindsay Beach Boulevard, Yanchep. If you are interested in taking part in this venture, come along on Tuesday and bring a plate to share. Coffee and Tea are provided. Cost $2.00 per person.

Open House Perth seeks to enhance this experience through a celebration of the city, enabling people to explore buildings and spaces normally closed to the public, completely for free. Open House Perth 2012 destinations are sited within a 30 minute walking radius, and are all highly accessible via public transport or walking.

At the opening of Woolworths yesterday we were treated to oyster, prawn, chicken & banana slice. Topped up by a choc milk drink.

 Only Woolworths is open, the rest of Yanchep Central is still to be occupied.

What the..........

'A MAN was killed overnight after his car rolled over near Eglinton, about 40km north of Perth.
Police were called to the scene of the crash just before 2am after a Nissan Patrol rolled over at the beach area on Pipidinny Road. The crash killed the 30-year-old male driver. Three passengers, two men aged 25 and a 20-year-old old woman, were not injured in the crash but were taken to Joondalup Health Campus as a precaution. Local police will continue with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash today.'

Just down the coast from Yanchep - what on earth were they doing!!!
