House of God (Application to the Department of City Planning - Ref: 13-3470/C)

Go check out Slinkachu.com
Such a clever guy.

Try again

This is the image I tried to put up yesterday for Wordless Wednesday.
The art is one of my works on canvas, 'Regeneration', wrapped around the blue vase are beads I put together long before I started digital art. I found it interesting that the colors match. The glass ball is handmade by Gene Poult, bought about 20 years ago just before he died.

Very fed up with blogger! Wouldn't let me do a post yesterday & now I can't see the pic I have put up today. I have trouble with looking at other blogs. Thinking of changing over to Wordpress. But then again it may be me, or this computer - who knows???!!!? (Just tried the old format - up came the pic!!!)
It's been a busy & frustating week.

Dragging limbs...

I love these trees, not sure what they are but they screen next doors house & back yard.

Going, going but not gone!
Next door wanted to cut all the branches but only cut the ones that were leaning over their side - and then threw the cut branches on to my side!

My limbs were dragging tree limbs out from the back to the front (green waste pick-up next month). Time to stop now for a rest.

Talking 'bout Books in June

What to read next? Finished reading 'Milk & Honey' (couldn't get to the end quick enough!) Dark & depressing. Really need something light & fluffy so maybe 'Mixed Fancies' will do ( although I may have read it before.)

To buy or not to buy?

I want & need a new (second-hand) car before my little  silver Holden is taken off the road.

This Honda is for sale  (nice colour!) seems to be in good condition.
Need advice, really wanted a smaller car.

1766 & all that.......

While searching for the STONE family of Northolt on ancestry.com. I came across this document dated 15th October 1766.
At a meeting of this Minister. Church Wardens and Principal Inhabitants of the Parish of Northall, it was unanimously agreed that the fences ????? to custom immemorial. Viz: The North and East ??? belong solely to Robert Child Esq of Osterley to repair as Landlord of the Court House, Lord of the Manor Etc.’
Leets...... 2.3.4.5.6.7. Downe Barnes - the widow Stone, tenant.
It goes on to mention Robert Stone of West End, tenant a few times.
Down Barnes, Northolt was where my grandfather was born in 1865. The widow Stone would have been his great, great grandmother!
