Talk about climate change - 40 four days ago and today 17 with rain.
1^st rain for a long time, yippee!! No need to water.

Able to chill out today, watched the very touching Memorial Service televised from Melbourne. How I had the audacity to complain about the heat yesterday when the people in Victoria have been through so much.

Enough!!

And I moaned when it got to 33.9c ............
When I removed the wet shirt & towels from the freezer
& put them on me it helped cool me down. Outside it was 40c.

and you have two lots of soup, pumkin mush to freeze for another day,

Blind date for tomorrow

Called into the library today and picked up ‘A Blind Date with a Book’ for Valentines Day (don’t know what the book is until opened) along with other books & a chocolate heart. The book by Barbara Vine was in the ‘throw away’ bin. Middlesex belongs to Sam & is the Yanchep Book Club book of the month, I’m halfway through. As the weather has cooled down I’m having tuna casserole tonight with French beans, broccoli & peas with a crusty bread & cheese topping.

Not the best day for Nic – he ended up in hospital for appendix operation! He is OK.

News from over east about the fires – 181 dead – tragic. Here the temp is 33.4 inside, 36 out. No sea breeze. I’m off to the beach soon.

Towards Two Rocks

When the tide is low the water is cold, so I didn’t go in today.
The other Yanchep Morning Swimmers went beyond the pole walking along the reef.

Very low tide this morning exposed rock pools, seaweed & three sea creatures (sea slugs?).

What tree is this?

Empty pods of the tree in the front garden.

The tree had small flowers and now has what looks like buds but are pods.

Collection

A collection of hand made and man made jewellery
plus a rattleskin bandolier.

Cloud cover

Big clouds but only 3 minutes of rain, lovely smell. Hot and humid.

Inside temperature got to 32 degrees, outside 38, not as hot as Adelaide thank goodness.
