Stitching New Life into Old Cloth - Workshop

Fabric of meaning, fabric of memories, well worn treasured fabric.
I spent most of the day ripping up old pairs of Jeans in preparation for a large shoulder bag.

Others were busy doing their own thing

Wendy Lugg, who has been running a series of 'Fabric of Life' workshops at Wanneroo, was most inspiring and showed us many pre-loved items as well as some very interesting books

There's a lot of life left in worn blue jeans. Such a wonderful, indestructible fabric. Everyone seems to be having a good time, too!

Looks like you all had great fun. I love recycling worn denim - it's so soft to work with and there's lots of it in the charity shops (mega size skirts are awesome fabric value!)

That's a workshop I would love to take! I love the value of reuse, and working in the company of like minded is so inspiring.
