I watched 'Quartet' on TV a while ago & was most surprised to read in the credits a guy I knew in the early '50s.
He played piano in the Ken McKintosh Band at Wimbledon Palais.

I did a google search the next day (as you do) to find out that he was playing jazz in London.
He now has his own Quartet!

I got the DVD from the library & thoroughly enjoyed it again, Wouldn't mind living in a place like that!!!

Loved that movie Angie, I watched it again on telly too.. wonderful cast.. Imagine you recognizing a familiar name, it really is a small world!
